It is a good news for people employed with state government of Rajasthan. With effect from January 1, 2017, the Rajasthan government has announced that it would provide benefits under the 7th Pay Commission recommendations. This benefit will be extended to almost 12.5 lakh employees and pensioners in Rajasthan. This announcement had been made before Diwali this year.

What state Industries Minister Rajpal Singh Shekhawat said?
Minister of Industries for Rajasthan, Rajpal Singh Shekhawat, said that this new announcement by government would put an additional yearly burden of Rs. 10,400 crore on Rajasthan government. Now, the arrears would be paid in three installments. Out of which, the first installment of 30 percent arrear will be paid in April 2018. The second installment of 30 per cent in July and the third which is 40 percent will be paid in October.

Benefits to be enjoyed by Rajasthan government employees and pensioners
The government employees and pensioners would get a minimum increment of 14.22 per cent.

There is increase of32 per cent in the basic pay and employees would get over 100 per cent increased HRA.

The maximum limit of payable gratuity was increased from Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh.
