AirAsia X has launched its direct services from Pink city to Kuala Lumpur. It’s first flight arrived at the Jaipur International Airport on monday evening. The flight would fly four times a week which will further expand its network in South Asia.

There are reasons to start this flight service. First, Jaipur is an important tourist destination and secondly, it is a part of Golden Triangle. This new service will help to meet the growing demand for regional connectivity to tier-II cities in India. This will also enhance India’s regional connectivity.

As per a press release, AirAsia Berhad Executive Chairman and AirAsia X Group CEO Kamarudin Meranun said, “We expect this new route to boost passenger growth between Malaysia, India and the region.”

With this new route, AirAsia now flies to 19 Indian cities. At present, four airlines of AirAsia group operate their flight services to India.

Talking to Jaideep Singh Bulhara, airport director of Jaipur, said that with this one more direct international flight, Jaipur International Airport’s connectivity is greatly enhancing.

As a part of promotional scheme, the airline offers all-in-fares of Rs 3,555 (one-way). The offer can be availed from February 5 till February 11 for travel period between February 5 and July 31.
