Ever traveled from Ajmer to Pushkar by road and noticed the spare foothill area alongside? Well, the government has now decided to allocate foothill area to develop a biodiversity park.

Gajendra Singh, the environment, and forest minister announced the development of biodiversity park. Apart from housing various wild animals, the park will have diverse plants which are found in the arid or hilly areas of the country.

As per officials, the biodiversity park will be developed in accordance with central zoo authority.

USP’s of the biodiversity park:

  • The wild animals will not be caged and will be given land to move around freely
  • The city forest park will occupy a sprawling area of about 75 hectares of land of Mahua Beed forest.
  • The forest park will be close to bio-toilets for the convenience of the public.

  • The park will also be enveloped with massive green cover to attract people.
  • An amount of Rs 1.5 crore has been allocated for the construction of the park
  • Tourist centric park invites tourists in large numbers

Meanwhile, the minister also inaugurated another park on Kanas-Nadaliya Road of Pushkar. Here are the highlights of this park:

  • Covers an area of 20 hectares of land
  • Park is built with the cost of Rs 62 lakh.
  • The park houses herbal houses and shrubs
  • Tourist-centric park
  • Helpful for students who want to learn about herbs

These parks will increase the green cover in the state, which will also reduce carbon print in the state.
