Jaipur women power is raging and indomitable. From gathering government support to performing brilliantly across different realms, Jaipur women have been unstoppable.

Government too has been making relentless efforts to reinforce women power in the capital city.

Jaipur has a one-stop crisis management centre for women (OSCMCW). From taking insporation of such centres, the Centre has decided to build 150 such centres across the country.

Krishna Raj, Union minister of state for woman and child development recently visited one-stop crisis management centre for women (OSCMCW) at Jaipuria Hospital on Monday.

Highlighting the Jaipur’s centre as a role model, Raj declared 150 such centres across the country.

The other 150 such centres will be developed on the same lines as the Jaipur centre, which has been highly applauded by one and all.

Raj visited Jaipur to see how the centre works. She also observed how are the women being helped out at the centre.

Women and child development (WCD) minister Anita Bhadel and WCD principal secretary Roli Singh accompanied Raj during the inspection.

Women who are being victimised and subjected to domestic violence, rape and honour killings, child marriage and sex-selective abortion have been provided with this help centre which helps the affected women to combat the issue and emerge stronger. This centre also helps women to combat gender-based issues which may be troubling them.

A centrally sponsored scheme for setting up one-stop centre has been set up by the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD).

Additionally, the Department has also formulated a sub-scheme of Umbrella Scheme for National Mission for Empowerment of Women including Indira Gandhi Mattritav Sahyaog Yojana.

Not only this, women have access to various types of support and assistance at the one stop centres.

Medical assistance, legal aid/counselling, police assistance, shelter, psycho-social support and counseling are the many types of facilities and assistances.
