Rajasthan’s BJP chief Ashok Parnami has resigned from the post this on 19th April. This decision is taken as he was made member of the party’s national working committee. BJP appointed Mr. Ashok Parnami as Rajasthan BJP chief in February 2014. He is also a BJP legislator from Adarsh Nagar constituency of Jaipur. Now, as per the party sources, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Jodhpur MP and Union Minister of State for Agriculture, is likely to be given the command of BJP in Rajasthan. Life and Education
Shekhawat was born on 3 October,1967 in Mehraoli village of Sikar. His father was in Water Supply Department and had been posted to various places in Rajasthan. Hence, his schooling was done at various places. He had pursued MA in philosophy. He has good oratory skills. He has chosen social service as area of job and worked in the Swadeshi Jagran Manch and Border People’s Welfare Committee.

On 29th January, 1992, he contested for the president election at the Jainarayan Vyas University in Jodhpur and won the election with huge number. Since the time of joining college, he was actively involved in politics.

During the time of his college elections, Gajendra Singh has been associated with Sangh Parivar. In fact, he has been considered as a special part of the Sangh.

Shekhawat wholeheartedly worked with BJP and defeated Congress candidate Chandresh Kumari by 4,01,051 votes. He joined Modi team and won the hearts of the people not only in Jodhpur but in entire Marwar and Rajasthan.

These days, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat is on Greece tour and is likely to return to India on April 21. Well… there are speculations that he can be called to leave in the middle of the tour.
