Rajasthan is one state which with its entirety has boundless scopes for every existing sector in the country. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, a profound politician, the pathway of Rajasthan’s development through all sectors like education, infrastructure, technology, women empowerment, agriculture, tourism and healthcare is being constructed. CM Raje has always believed in bringing forth beneficial changes through novel schemes. One such new and upgraded scheme is called GRAM – Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet. We can say it is less than a meet and more of a scheme for the development of agricultural sector of the state. This meet will be held this year, in the month of November from 9th to 11th at Jaipur.

For a three day meet, surprisingly more than 55,000 farmers will be coming to attend this festival for agricultural growth. The main agenda behind inviting great number of farmers is to teach them about numerous farming techniques which can help them to increase their annual yields. Techniques like, drip irrigation, solar pumps, farm mechanization, agro-processing, etc will be one of the educative lessons that will be taught in GRAM.

With regard to GRAM, Neelkamal Darbari, the Principal Secretary of Agriculture and Horticulture said, “The primary objective of GRAM is to ensure economic empowerment of the people through accelerated yet sustainable growth in agriculture and to double farmer’s income by 2022. Large number of suggestions and inputs were discussed to make the event a success.”

Prabhu Lal Saini, who is Agriculture Minister for Rajasthan, has cordially invited farmers and industrialists from states like Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to associate with the states’ agriculture and other allied sectors.

The foremost contributive sponsor and partner of GRAM is the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). This partnership simply symbolizes the fact that country’s leading food related committee is happy to join hands with GRAM because this new step has great potential in reaching new heights for Rajasthan’s both agriculture and its allied sectors. Among other invited county partners for GRAM are Israel, Australia, Netherlands and Canada.

With GRAM comes the opportunity for farmers to get their incomes doubled. Mainly because the way the farmers will be educated with new and improved techniques, it is but natural that the quantity and quality of their produce will perk up and so will their incomes.

In order to promote and gather maximum attention, GRAM committee was busy conducting road shows between 25th July till 10th August, in different cities of the country like it started with Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Indore, Delhi, Bengaluru and Chennai.
