Jaipur bank robbery
Jaipur bank robbery

In a shocking incident, two masked burglars broke into a UCO bank branch located in Jaipur’s Raja Park area, today morning. The pair barged into the bank and held employees captives at gun point. The incident occurred around 10 am in the morning when the peon (identified as Ashok Kumar) and the janitor (named Sunny) unlocked the bank gates. The Modus Operandi of Jaipur bank robbery exudes that robbers did a lot of homework before hatching this conspiracy. The real-life burglary was more dramatic than the ‘scripted episodes’ played on suspense thrillers like Crime Patrol and Savdhaan India.

As per the captives, the robbers broke into the bank, masking their faces with a handkerchief. They aimed their pistols at the staff and confined them to a corner. One of them fired a shot to frighten Kumar and Sunny.

The remaining eight employees arrived shortly after the firing incident. One by one, they held all of them captives in a corner. According to cashier Rajiv Gaur, the employees couldn’t identify them, as they had masks and caps on them. They threatened the employees to unlock the safe so they would access the hard-earned cash of depositors. Besides seizing Rs 15 lakh in cash, they attacked the female bank manager (identified as Rajni) and snatched her chain and bangles.

There was a new female recruit among the eight employees held captive in the bank. On the first day of her job, the criminals threatened the poor soul with guns- a frightening experience for any new employee. The robbers fled from the spot with their loot packed in a bag.

Unluckily for them, the act was recorded on the CCTV cameras of the bank. The video also captured the robbers dragging one of the female employees. They shut her mouth tight to prevent her from shouting. Using her as a human shield, the thieves rushed outside the bank and fled on their motorbike.

The residents of Rajas Park were shocked to know about the robbery. Alarmed bank employees alerted the police that arrived on the scene shortly. As of now, the police are trying to find their whereabouts.
