The cab facilities offered by Ola and Uber have dramatically made the commutation for the people very easier. These two taxi service providers give various offers from time-to-time to woo the customers. But, from some time, the drive partners of these two are on strike at India level. Jaipur city is now facing issue of not getting cabs. When the people tried to book their ride they were unable to do so due to strike called by drivers of Ola and Uber. The drivers of these app-based cab services called for an indefinite strike starting from Saturday midnight. This strike has made it difficult for the localites as well as tourists to move. The strike is not over yet.

Reasons for strike
The reason behind this strike is low earnings. Apart from this, there are several other issues of the drivers as they are not able to fulfill loan amount or promised higher incomes by the companies but not paid. The other demands include the installation of CCTV cameras in the cab for the security of drivers and customers & PF and ESI to all the employees. There is also demand for reducing the commission rate from 25% to 10%. The drivers also complained that as per the company’s policies priority is given to company-owned cars rather than driver-owned vehicles.

It is expected that both companies and drivers will talk and take a decision. As people are suffering for no reason and they want this matter to be resolved soon and the drivers will go to work.
