Jairangam festival is a joyful event that refreshes mind and soul. It is an event of seven-days where art, theatre and literature are celebrated. It was earlier known as Jaipur Theatre Festival. In 2012, the name has been changed to Jairangam.
Established in the year 2001, Jairangam offers a wonderful platform to artists to showcase their talent. This festival was started with an aim to enlighten and enrich the cultural, real-life and creative spirit of people. This is a week-long festival has several facets to show like music, dance, theatre, literature, street stalls, films, workshops for adult & children, visual arts & heritage walks.
By Jairangam, the efforts are made to connect masses to their roots and transfer the legacy of culture to upcoming generations. It is also a platform to resurrect, rejuvenate and redefine the aura & importance of performing arts and theatre. In fact, Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan has apparently become the face of Jairangam.
Jairangam festival has already started on 3 December and will be continued till 10 December, 2017. The event held at Ravindra Manch in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
