Born on 15th August 1967, in Shri Ganganagar, Rajasthan the man who has brought the whole North India to a standstill is up for a rape case conviction today afternoon. He became the Dera Sacha Suda Sirsa Chief in 1990, succeeding Dera pramukh Shri Satnam Singh ji. The Dera pramukh gave him the name Gurmeet Ram Rahim a.k.a ‘INSAAN’.
With a gargantuan following worldwide, the Dera Chief is among the most revered individuals in the North Indian community and Indian diaspora. Dera is operating in Sirsa district of Haryana for the last 67 years. Dera Sacha Sauda has its branches all over the world in places such as USA, UK, Canada, Australia and UAE.
Currently Gurmeet Ram Rahim is accused of sexual molestation by a disciple in a 2002 case and currently facing charges. The charges were investigated by CBI and handed over to the court in 2007. A CBI special court is now investigating the matter involving Gurmeet Ram Rahim , who is up for a hearing on 25th August 2017, at Panchkula.
