National Lok Adalat was organized in Rajasthan High Court back on Saturday and almost 2,500 left out cases were taken into consideration. Pending cases like transfer, retirement aids, legal action, parole, industrial disputes, paroles and other disputes.

During this, more than 2,500 cases were taken into consideration in the Jaipur bench.

Rajasthan Legal Services Authority executive chairman mentioned, “It was the second National Lok Adalat of the year for which pending cases were identified. The decisions of National Lok Adalat are final and no appeal can be made”.

In high court, ten judges were involved in the jury for dealing with the cases.

Lok Adalats were organized in all the courts which looked into different pending cases for end settlement.

National Lok Adalat 2017 (NALSA) organizes the Lok Adalats. Conventionally, Lok Adalat is alternative discussion mechanism where cases and disputes are settled in an amicable way. Under Legal Services Authorities, 1987, the Lok Adalats have been provided the statutory status. The Lok Adalat’s decision is considered as civil court and is imposed on all the parties. Although, in case of any dissatisfaction on the decision, no any provision been to cast any appeal against it.

For any case in the Lok Adalat, no any court fee is charged. If any matter which was running in the law court is solved by the Lok Adalat, the fee of the court on petition and complaints are paid back to the parties.

The deciders of Lok Adalat are officially called Lok Adalat members. The members of Lok Adalat assist the parties in an independent approach and make unbiased decisions. They do it to do an equal and amicable settlement amidst the parties.

Generally, Lok Adalat takes care of below types of cases:

• Any pending cases in the court
• Any dispute which was made available in front of the court.
