On Thursday, Supreme Court issues an order for release of film Padmavat in all the four states where the film has been banned earlier. This order for nationwide release of the film led to new agitation as Rajasthan’s Rajput again made a statement. The women of Rajput community threatened that if Padmavat would release then filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali have to commit jauhar.

This statement came when the women asked about some 1,800 women who have threatened to commit jauhar in Chittor if the film is released. Refuting this statement, Rajput women asked for self immolation of Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

A press conference was being held in Jaipur where Rajput women said that their community still opposed the release of the film. At this conference, Rajput women said that they respect Supreme Court decision but Rajput community would discuss this. One of the Rajput women also said that the movie was already rejected during screening. It is the matter of their dignity. The film has distorted the facts and still filmmakers want to release it.

It is known that Rajput community has carried out a violent protest against the film Padmavat. Even the women of this community have also joined the protest against the release of film.
