The infrastructural landscape in Rajasthan is treading into an unprecedented realm of urbanization and economization. A gift of Urban Infrastructure by PM Modi will prove to be the turnaround point for Rajasthan. Projects worth over 27000 Crores which will encompass National Highway projects, state roads, and rural roads covered under state and central developmental schemes.

On PM Modi’s much-anticipated visit to Udaipur on August 29, he will inaugurate 5606 road-infrastructure based projects and lay foundation stone 3908 projects –a record-setting inauguration of sorts ever made by PM Modi in a go.

PM Modi Rajasthan visit

The PM will inaugurate 11 completed NH projects, including a six-lane cable stayed bridge across the river Chambal in Kota. Projects which will be launched by PM Modi will cover an area stretch of about 14,371 km.

These projects entail development projects under National highways, state roads and rural roads under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) and CM Vasundhara Raje’s Grameen Gaurav Path. The projects will be inaugurated by PM Modi in the presence of CM Raje and Union Roadways Minister Nitin Gadkari.

Whereabouts: Inaugural Ceremony

The inaugural event will take place amidst a humongous rally at the Maharana Pratap Khelgaon venue located at Chitrakoot Nagar in Udaipur. Reports say that 109 projects over 3,000 kilometers are being funded by the road transport ministry and National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). The projects mainly include widening of highways and improvement and construction of state roads. They will cost around Rs 15,000 crore.

Rajasthan is also one of the leading states under build-operate and transfer (BOT) model which implements the public-private partnership road project. Over thirty-one projects are on the BOT model.

The desert state is progressively ushering an uncharted world of infrastructure development and urbanization. With the launching of such lighthouse projects, Rajasthan will top the infrastructural game in India. It will have the best road network in India which will facilitate better trade practices, boost industrial production and increase economic efficiency amongst many other lucrative benefits.
