Three Successful years of BJP
The PM came down hard on the Ministers, secretaries and officers in charge for the implementation of various projects.

Having struggled with sickness and opposition’s criticism for long, Raje called in a Meeting with State Secretaries and Ministers in charge to Gauge Progress at Different Levels.

CM Vasundhara Raje was jeered and mocked by opposition leaders for her absence from Rajasthan politics on medical grounds for a long time. Rather than fussing and hissing on this issue, the ‘Rani of Reforms’ retorted subtly, with solid, calculated steps. The CM called in a meeting of cabinet ministers and secretaries in CMO, Jaipur on November 22 to ponder over important issues in the state. With this meeting, the CM intended to kill two birds with a single stone– grill the officers on their awareness and to monitor the status of developmental projects undertaken at village and district levels. The meeting ended with Raje taking some strict decisions to speed up departmental functioning, before the ruling BJP government completes its third year anniversary in December.

Rajasthan Government Holds Review Meeting with State Secretaries and Ministers in-charge

Raje strictly advised the state ministers to focus on village and districts. District in-charges were specifically instructed to tour their area at least once in every month. She made it mandatory for officers to have routine inspections in various blocks and developments since it’s essential to spread awareness in the villages, that lay on the lower stratum of development, as of now.

Since most of the development projects are funded by a tax payer’s money, it’s essential for the government to utilize the funds in a practical manner. To ensure proper execution of budget, it’s necessary for all the officers to participate in it, from top to bottom.

Since the government has just 2 years left in hand, time-bound implementation of budget is extremely essential. Raje advised the officers to set a time frame for completing tasks. This way, it will be easier for the government to track pending tasks and to pinpoint the exact reason behind delays.

Following her visit to various districts under Aapka Jila Aapki Sarkaar mission, the CM discovered that many officers working in different blocks and divisions were unaware of government policies. Pointing this out in the meeting, the CM directed Chief Secretary O.P. Meena and others to set up ‘Informative Bulletin Boards’ in every Gram Panchayat. These bulletin boards must display:

  • A brief outline of various policies,
  • Total budget allotted to each policy,
  • Budget utilized in a project,
  • Development tasks undertaken at different villages,
  • Number of tasks completed and
  • Number of tasks pending.

The idea is to run government in a transparent, efficient manner.

With this, the CM concluded the meeting by instructing the officers to conduct regular quality tests for Gaurav path, Bhamashah yojana, Bhamashah Swaasthay Beema, Annapurna Bhandar, Rajshree, MJSA, Sampark portal and Ration distribution networks. As the election year is approaching near, Raje-led government is leaving no stone unturned to establish ‘Suraj’ in Rajasthan before 2020.
