Rajasthan state government has proposed to lift the ban for exporting Nagori male calves. The ban on the export of these calves up to the age of three turned out to a big loss for cow breeders. Hence, it is asked by Gulab Chand Kataria-led sub-cabinet committee to make amendments in the act. In fact, this ban has been imposed two years before.

To ban the slaughter of bovine in Rajasthan, the state has bovine act. Rajasthan Bovine Animal (Prohibition of Slaughter and Regulation of Temporary Migration or Export) Act, 1995 is made for safety of bovine animals in state.

From last few years, there are several cases that talk about cow slaughters as well as smuggling of animals. Even many people have lost their lives in the names of cow smugglers without adequate information. So, this act has helped a lot in fighting all such issues.
