Rajasthan Police will now get Report Card - News of Rajasthan

A very brilliant and innovative step has been taken by the Rajasthan Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria. It might sound absurd to some people but the people of Rajasthan will now have the facility to present report cards to the police stations of Rajasthan. They can actually rank the police officials on the basis of their performance and the response which they get from them. Such step is being initiated with a view of bringing transparency and considers improvement scope in the performance of Rajasthan Police.

“Software for this was designed by the state crime records bureau to start this facility. Any citizen can give rating and feedback about police stations on the state police’s website,” DGP Manoj Bhatt said. It would surely lead the working and functionality of the police on a smoother path. Police can be rated on a scale of 1 to 5 along with providing your personal details. Such rating has to be given once in a month, he said.

The software has been designed in a way that the police station can see the ratings given to them but can’t see the personal details of the person rating them. The senior officials of police could also see the rating of the police station coming under his command but a police officer can’t rate a police station, Bhatt added. It would surely be an innovative step and could help out the citizens a bit. The rating can be easily done online and your experience would surely be counted.
