Rajasthan set to tighten security via video surveillance

A new command and control centre will be started by the Rajasthan Government. This centre will ensure security, safety and regular surveillance of several districts via video cameras. This project will be very helpful in assisting emergency situations. Whole concept has been fashioned by the Information Technology and communication department of the state as has named it the Surveillance and Incident Response Project. This will be taken into the implementation stage by RajComp Info Services Ltd.

The new control centre has been planned to have dial 100 control room, video surveillance room and forensic investigation room. All the functionalities will be performed by the police of the state which will include monitoring, regulating, controlling, etc.

Under the project, 1000 CCTV cameras will be installed in the capital city of Jaipur itself.
