A natural hot water well in the arid state of Rajasthan has been found. The earth scientist confirmed the news of the well which has hot water situated in a village between the Beawar and Pali districts.

But unlike others, the owner of the village is not at all happy of the finding and rather says that this is a curse as he requires cooling down the water every day to further use it for irrigation and other purposes.

The water has reportedly been recorded at a highest of 58 degree Celsius and in science language such wells are referred to as ‘geothermal wells’. The member of the geo-heritage wing of Indian National Trust for Art and Culture Heritage and a retired professor of geology, Pushpendra Singh Ranawat visited the village and said, “Even the ground water department and members of the Geological Survey of India were not aware of any geothermal well in Rajasthan, so we may take it to be the first in the state,”

Well cooling down of the water is necessary for its use in irrigation etc.
