It is a well known fact that Winter is suggestive of old age and death, and rightly so.

On Monday, winter validated it’s fatality when a 40-year old farmer, Prem Chand froze to death, amid shivering winters.

In the wee hours of Monday, the doomed farmer had gone to his farm at Nagla Teharia village under Ucchain police station area of Bharatpur district

As luck would have had it, Prem Chandwas watering his crops. To the surprise of all those present, he suddenly fainted. He was dashed to a nearby hospital, but was declared dead.

However, family members opined that death was likely to have occurred because Chand was not wearing proper woolens. Moreover the police substantiated their assumption by the conclusion drawn after postmortem.

“It is a clear death due to cold as the team of doctors who had conducted post mortem too opined this. The family members had though alleged that he was murdered, no injury or strangulation marks were witnessed on his body,” said a senior police officer of Ucchain police station of Bharatpur.

There have been various issues on account of winters and foggy mornings. The transportation facilities like trains and flights have been delayed, causing aching inconvenience to all the civilians.

Jaipur witnessed a minimum temperature of 9.8 degrees Celsius, rendering a shivering morning. Early mornings are enveloped with dense fog, causing serious menace for all travelers. However, as the sun sets in and the day unfolds, the winter breeze shies away.

Well, we must combat the adversity of the Winter, before it is too late. It sounds odd but winter too can be your deadliest enemy. Until Winter is here to stay, please ensure you and your well-wishers are clothed with adequate woolens to prevent any serious misfortune. Afterall, prevention is better than cure.
