A 4-month-old infant girl was recently found dead in a water tank inside her home. The police arrested the infant’s mother for further questioning. On close interrogation with the mother, it was revealed that the infant’s mother was exhorted into drowning her daughter into the well. The infant’s mother spelled out a very strange reason which is as intriguing as unbelievable.
The corpus was found in Pratap Naga where the lady’s home was lined up. The mother of the deceased claimed that supernatural powers instigated her to drown her own daughter. The woman confessed her crime and claimed that supernatural powers inside her committed the crime.
According to the police, a 4-month old infant was found dead. Her body was found in a water tank in a house situated at sector 18 of Pratap Nagar locality on Tuesday.
On the arrest, a senior police officer, said, “After the body was found it was clear that there was no trespass inside the house. Likewise, the keys of the water tank which used to be locked was with the woman Pinki (24). Initially she made a statement that some people snatched away her baby. However after a stern interrogation she confessed her crime.”
The woman claimed that her daughter’s death would result in peaceful lifestyle including her husband and 4-year old son. If the lady is to be believed, she was possessed with supernatural powers. “She has said that some supernatural powers inside her body urged me to kill my daughter. She believed that the death of her daughter will ensure a peaceful life to her husband and 4-year-old son,” said an officer.
This is what can be construed from the initial story narrated by Pinki—On Wednesday morning, deceased girl’s father Mahendra Singh was unable to find his daughter at home. To know of her daughter’s whereabouts, Singh enquired his wife about their daughter. Pinki started shedding tears as she informed Singh that somebody snatched their daughter. After investigating the area and finding the little one dead in a pit, police was skeptical about mother’s claim.
After hearing mother’s claim, police was also suspicious on the role of other external factors which conspired the family to dump their girl child.
