State government had recently took decision to use “Charagah” (pastures) as lands in the urban areas. These lands were proposed to use as the housing project. In this regard, the revenue department had rolled out the notifications related to this to make sure of compliance with it.
Without understanding the gist of it, Hanuman Beniwal highlighted this issue in the state assembly. He allegedly pointed that these lands will be used for the mining mafia illegally.
Shrichand Kriplani, the urban development and housing rejected all the allegations and highlighted the fact that, these will be used for Mukhyamantri Jan Awas Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jan Awas Yojana.
Kriplani said it like, “With growing urbanisation, the housing needs are increasing in municipal areas. Therefore, there is a continuous requirement of developing housing schemes on government lands located in municipal areas”.
The minister mentioned that the district collector have been instructed to make shift in the “charagarh” and government lands situated in the urban grounds for the municipalities. Kriplani said, “The letter written to all district collectors in this regard on December 26, 2016 is proper”.
He also highlighted the fact that, all kinds of government lands in municipal areas are from the municipalities. The minister added, “Anyways, the charagah lands in municipal areas are not used as pastures because the Municipalities Act that is effective in these areas does not permit cattle to be left to graze at public places/lands”.
It has been informed to the revenue department that, these lands should be transferred to other utilities.
All government land that is located in areas of Jaipur Development Authority, Jodhpur Development Authority, Urban Improvement Trusts and all municipalities, shall be transferred to these bodies, said UDH minister.
The decision has been taken to foster better infrastructure in the state. The recent budget was much about apparent developments in the state. The conversion of pasture lands into other lands in one of that decision.
